Geoffrey Master Controller (GMC)

The GMC connects multiple Geoffrey Controllers into a distributed network.

  • The Geoffrey Master Controller acts as a communication manager for up to 16 Controllers
  • Communication to the system PC can be direct connection to the serial port or dial-up over standard phone lines
  • A Master Controller can be used with all Reader, Alarm, and Elevator Controllers
  • A system with a Master Controller can support any combination of read head technologies: magnetic stripe, Wiegand, barium ferrite, bar code and biometric.

Geoffrey Elevator System

The Geoffrey Elevator System manages elevator access for industrial and residential buildings.

  • Controls elevator access for up to 96 individual floors
  • Supports 6-digit ID access cards: up to 16,000 cardholders and up to 2,000 transactions
  • Elevator Controllers can be used with Master Controllers, Reader Controllers, Reader Interfaces, and various read heads
  • Card readers can be conveniently located in each elevator cab
  • Prescheduled overrides can be operated manually to lock or unlock floors during specific time periods
  • All databases are stored locally and can be programmed with an IBM® compatible PC

Geoffrey CCTV Universal Interface

The Geoffrey CCTV Universal Interface enables you to activate a device, such as a camera, providing video capturing at the point of alarm activation.

  • The Geo CCTV Universal Interface option can be custom tailored to meet a customer's specific expectations and needs. It will interface with a wide assortment of RS-232 devices such as switchers, printers, and automatic calling devices as well as numerous ASCII communication devices
  • Outputs standard ASCII string commands via a serial port
  • Easy to use point and click Windows interface to coincide with pre-existing database definitions
  • When used in a Multi-User network environment, the software can be accessed by more than one PC at a time

Geoffrey software is the behind-the-scenes manager of the entire Access Control System.

  • The Geoffrey software can be used on an IBM® compatible PC running the Windows OS
  • Flexible communications to Geoffrey reader controllers can be direct or dial-up over ordinary telephone lines
  • Security system operators can be assigned different privilege levels
  • Easy to use graphical interface requires minimal training. Colorful software uses point&click icons instead of complicated typed commands

Geoffrey GHC11

The Geoffrey GHC11 Reader Interface links card readers of most technologies to the Geoffrey Reader Controller

  • The GHC11 offers a cost effective, modular approach to access control system design for industrial environments. Each Reader Interface can be used in a small system with one reader to the largest systems with thousands of readers.
  • The GHC11 Reader Interface is supported by all Geoffrey Reader Controllers
  • Compatible with any combination of read head technologies: magnetic stripe, bar code, Wiegand, barium ferrite, smart card, biometric, and more.
  • Geoffrey Reader Interfaces can run in degraded mode, allowing for local decision making if communication fails between the GHC11 and the Reader Controller

Geoffrey Reader Controllers (GRC)

Geoffrey Reader Controllers provide unsurpassed flexibility for access control systems of all sizes.

  • The Geoffrey Reader Controller (GRC), an intelligent device, is independently programmable and capable of making decisions at the local level
  • RC to PC communication can be through the Master Controller, direct to the serial port, or dial-up over telephone lines
  • For added security, the GRC in a dial-up configuration will dial back the PC before transferring any data
  • The GRC dials the PC if there is an alarm or when the transaction buffer is 75% full
  • Each RC can be used with Geoffrey Master Controllers, Reader Interfaces, and any combination of read head technologies: magnetic stripe, bar code, Wiegand, barium ferrite, smart card, biometric, and more.
  • All databases are stored locally and can be programmed with a Hand Held Programmer or an IBM® compatible PC

Geoffrey Reader Controllers (GRCNX)

The Geoffrey RCNX Reader Controller is the flexible solution to high end alarm access control systems.

  • The Geoffrey Reader Controller (GRCNX) is an intelligent device, independently programmable, and capable of making decisions at the local level
  • Communication between the RCNX and the system PC can be direct to the serial port or through a secondary communication port
  • For added security, the RCNX in a dial-up configuration will dial back the PC before receiving any data
  • 2 Wire RS485 or 6 wire full duplex RS232
  • The RCNX will also dial the PC when there is an alarm or when the transaction buffer is 75% full
  • Each RCNX can be used with the Geoffrey Reader Interface, and any combination of read head technologies: magnetic stripe, bar code, Wiegand, barium ferrite, smart card, biometric, and more.
